What Is An
“Agape Gift”?

An Agape Gift is not a “hand-out”; it is an investment in another person’s life.

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2

An Agape Gift is not to be paid back; it is to be paid forward.

"But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ." Philippians 3:7-8

An Agape Gift is not an entitlement; it is an act of grace and mercy.

"Because judgement without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgement!" James 2:13

An Agape Gift is an act of love to our brothers and sisters, and even more to our Lord.

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did for me.' " Matthew 25:34-40

An Agape Gift opens the door for the giver and gives an inheritance to the the receiver.

"A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great." Proverbs 18:16

An Agape Gift is a gift to someone that cannot be earned. It is with the same heart as the unconditional love that God has for us, unmerited and unearned. It is the bridge from being in bondage to being free, and yes, it is as simple as that.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.

Galatians 5:1
